6 days Maasai Mara (Naboisho conservancy) safari is  a Kenya wildlife and walking safari package taking you on a safari visit to The Mara Naboisho Conservancy one of the conservancies making up the Greater Mara Region. The Mara Naboisho Conservancy is the second largest conservancy in the region bordering Maasai Mara national reserve to the South West, The Olare Orok conservancy to the west and the Ol Kinyei Conservancy to the East.

Mara Naboisho Conservancy is a home to a variety of animals including over 100 lions which is one of the highest densities in the world, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras , the rare wild dog among others which you will encounter on this safari.

DETAILED ITINERARY OF 6 days MAASAI MARA (Naboisho conservancy) safari

DAY 2: full day game drives in naboisho conservancy

Have breakfast and head to the Naboisho conservancy for a full day game drive together with your packed meals for picnic lunch, Naboisho Conservancy is a community-owned nature conservancy bordering Maasai Mara national reserve. The conservancy is one the conservancies making up the Mara ecosystem and is very vital for the survival of the wildlife in the Mara system, while on the game drive in Maasai Mara National Reserve you will encounter a number of animals such as lion, cheetah, elephants, zebras, gazelles, wildebeests, leopard, giraffe, and buffalo among others. You will have picnic lunch and then go for another game drive, in the evening you will return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

DAY 1: pickup and fly to ol seki airstrip

To start of your 6 days Maasai Mara Kenya safari tour you will be picked from your hotel in Nairobi by your safari driver guide, he will give a short briefing about the day’s activities and drive to Wilson airport for your domestic flight to Ol Seki airstrip one of the airstrips serving the reserve.

When you land at the airstrip you will be met by our friendly safari-drive guide and go for your first game drive in the Naboisho Conservancy, during the game drive you will encounter a number of animals such as lions, wildebeests, Maasai giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, among others. For lunch you will head to the lodge for a delicious meal then return to the park for an evening game drive looking for predators and nocturnal animals such as lions, African wild dog, hyenas, and cheetahs among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 – 4: full day walking safari experience

Have early breakfast and head to the conservancy for an exciting walking safari accompanied by skilled Maasai guides,  during the walking safari you will get a close encounter with various animals such as the big Five (elephnats, lions, rhinos, buffaloes and leopards). You will be informed more about them and learn how to identify their foot prints, skulls and dung.

You will have picnic lunch set and served under the shade of an acacia tree, then relax for a while and go for the afternoon walk. After the experience you will return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

DAY 5: visit the maasai commmunity

Have early breakfast and head to the Maasai community for a full day of cultural experience, the Maasai people are incredible local people one of the few communities in world with cultural traditions and beliefs not affected by modernity and technology.  While in the Maasai community you will enjoy the Maasai Bomas (circular shaped bomas built using mud, timbers and green thatch), learn more about the pastoral life stock , participate in herding the cattle, goat and sheep, taste local meals and be entertained  by local dances and drama.

After the experience, you will return to your lodge, have dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: departure

Have breakfast, checkout of your camp and head to the airstrip for your Ol Seki airstrip for your domestic flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson airstrip. When you land at Wilson airstrip you will connect to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your flight to another destination or back home.
